Sheryl Crow Tells Of Mastectomy Fears
Sheryl Crow has confessed how relieved she was to escape a mastectomy in her recent battle with breast cancer, because she feared the operation would ruin her career. The singer was given the all clear earlier this month but still has to visit doctors for a check-up every six months for the next three years. Nevertheless, she's thrilled the worst is over and that she overcame the disease without having to have a breast removed. Addressing the Breast Cancer Research Foundation luncheon in New York on Wednesday, Crow joked, "If you've been following pop music, you all know how important cleavage is in my line of work - more important than your voice."
