Reuters: Drummers, dancers, opera singers and Colombian pop star Shakira starred in an exuberant ceremony to celebrate the World Cup just before the kickoff of the final between Italy and France on Sunday.
Pop-opera quartet Il Divo sang the official World Cup song "The Time of Our Lives" with soul diva Toni Braxton to open the short ceremony on the steps behind one of the goals in Berlin's Olympiastadion.
Drummers pounding out a frenetic beat danced around the steps before Shakira emerged to sing her current hit "Hips Don't Lie".
