Kylie set to sing at Commonwealth Games

Kylie Minogue has announced that she is hoping to be well enough to sing at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, to be held in her native Australia, next spring. The star, who had breast cancer surgery in May is said to be recovering well and hopes to be able to perform at the Games, which will be held in Melbourne. If she is well enough to take part, it seems that she will be welcomed with open arms, as a spokesperson for the Minister for the Games, Justin Madden, confirmed: "We would love Kylie to be part of the Games". The 2006 Commonwealth Games will be held between the 15th and 26th March next year.
