Fergie getting girly on The Dutchess
After spending many years touring the world with her band of boys The Black Eyed Peas, Fergie was eager to show off a girly side when she went solo. The singer, who recently released her first album The Dutchess, says that she wanted to show the world that she isn't always a tomboy. "It's an important thing for people to see more of this little-girl side because that's a part they don't get to see with the Black Eyed Peas," she told the World Entertainment News Network. "They're both who I am. I'm a strong woman. I'm also romantic. I'm very intimate. There's the left-brain side of me as well as the right-brain." Fergie, who is dating Josh Duhamel, has won the praises of her producer and band mate will.i.am with her first solo effort. "After My Humps, people forgot that Fergie could sing," he said. "So it was important to stress to people that she can sing. We wanted her to sing haunting melodies and be inspiring so that you want to sing along." The rapper praised Fergie's range, saying, "She's the most vocal gymnastic that I know."
