Celine Dion Teams with Paris Olympic Games Bid
French-Canadian singer Celine Dion is recording a song for Paris, in its fight to host the 2012 Olympic games, up against London, Madrid, Moscow and New York.
Dion recorded the Francis Lemarque song, entitled Paris, in Las Vegas
, after the mayor of Paris, Bertrand Delanoë, personally wrote a letter to the singer asking her to record the song.
It's not the first time that Dion has been associated with the Olympic Games. In 1996, she sang The Power of the Dream at the opening ceremony in Atlanta.
