Photographer Never Asked for Cameron Diaz Signature
The photographer accused of attempting to extort millions from Cameron Diaz over a raunchy set of photos, has confessed he never asked her to sign a release form.
John Rutter, 42, told Los Angeles Superior Court his assistant always organised release forms for future publication of the shots, and assumed the Charlie's Angels star's signature on the 1992 documents were genuine.
When quizzed by Deputy District Attorney David Walgren as to whether he now believes the signature looked fake, he replied, "It looks like that."
The photographer was alleged to have falsified Diaz's signature and subsequently tried to sell the topless photos back to her for $3.3 million.
