Pamela Anderson Boycotts the Kentucky Derby

Canadian actress and activist Pamela Anderson has decided to boycott the Kentucky Derby. The 38 year-old star, who is a staunch defender of animal rights, is against horse racing, and the race's main supporter, Kentucky Fried Chicken. Anderson is a member of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). She explained, "Like most people, I don't want to support cruelty to animals, whether it's forcing horses to race for our amusement or scalding chickens alive for our plate. We have to be more evolved than this."
