Nick Lachey proposes to Vanessa Minnillo?

Jessica Simpson's ex husband, Nick Lachey has apparently proposed to his girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo. Rumors have been generating for months now that the 33 year old singer was popping the question to Minnillo. Speculations of a proposal began circulating late last year when Nick Lachey reportedly called Jessica Simpson to inform her that he planned on proposing to Minnillo. So when Nick made a surprise appearance at a New Year's Eve bash Vanessa was working at and put her to tears by whispering something in her ear, everyone was sure he had popped the question. Later reports indicated that was not the case and the two went on with their lives. Last week, The National Enquirer released an announcement that read "Wedding Bells for Nick and Vanessa". The article went on to explain that Nick had proposed to Vanessa and they were "moving forward with plans for an April wedding". Whether or not the rumors are true remains a big question. The National Enquirer has never been the highest on the list of trustworthy sources in the entertainment industry and few other sources have confirmed the engagement. That said, until I hear otherwise, I'm chalking this one up to another story on the rumor mill. It's quite possible the two are in fact engaged. But until other sources confirm the story, I refuse to believe it. If and when the two announce their engagement, I will have all the details.
