Christina Aguilera's marriage disappointment

Christina Aguilera says the first year of married life has been a disappointment. The singer has been with music executive Jordan Bratman for four-and-a-half years and the couple have been married for almost 12 months, but she admits marriage is tough. Christina said "I think it is hard. You're surprised and disappointed by certain things in your first year. I think the biggest misconception is that everything is going to be perfect and nothing will go wrong. But we have a strong bond. I'm prepared to grow old with this man. We look forward to the ups and downs." Christina, whose mother was physically abused by her father when she was growing up, has dedicated the song Save Me From Myself on her new album to Jordan to thank him for all the support he has given her. Aguilera said, "He's helped me heal a lot. The song really just means having that one person in your life who's able to pick you up and pull you out when you get in those dark spaces in yourself and are dwelling on the negative. They get you to look at all the bright and beautiful things around you."
