Rebecca Romijn and husband Jerry O'Connell are desperate to have their first child.
Jerry said, "We're trying to get pregnant. It would be amazing if it happened. I hope it does." The actor also revealed their pets, who he refers to as "our babies", are preparing for parenthood by caring for their two dogs. He added to People magazine, "It's just such a great feeling you get when you rescue an animal. They're eternally grateful and they really trust you and they're just the best, and pets are training for kids."
Rebecca has previously hinted at the couple's desire to have babies, asking the writers of
Ugly Betty, in which she plays a transsexual, to make her character fat so she can get pregnant.
