Liv Tyler, daughter of Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler, has longed for years to show off her singing abilities, and even auditioned for the musical movie
Moulin Rouge.
The actress was brought up in a musical household, but admits she has always been shy about showcasing her own vocal talent. And Liv hoped
Moulin Rouge would be the perfect opportunity to debut her voice, but lost out on the lead role to
Nicole Kidman.
She says, "I sat on a piano and sang
Big Spender, but I didn't get the role. When I was a little girl, I always wanted to be a singer, but never pursued it. My mom was a singer in a band, as was my dad and my stepdad Todd, I loved watching them perform. I can sing, but I don't know how good I am."
