Judge 'annuls' Zellweger marriage
Renee Zellweger's brief marriage to country singer Kenny Chesney has been reportedly annulled by the Los Angeles Superior Court.
According to papers obtained by US TV show Extra, "the judgement of nullity is entered... the parties are declared to be single persons".
In US law, an annulment decrees that a marriage was invalid from its outset.
The judicial declaration comes seven months after their surprise wedding on the Caribbean island of St John.
The pair first met at the Concert of Hope tsunami relief benefit in January and married in May.
But the marriage ended four months later when the couple sought an annulment, with Zellweger listing "fraud" as the reason for the break-up.
In a statement released on 16 September, the actress said the term 'fraud' was "simply legal language and not a reflection of Kenny's character".
The same day the pair released a joint statement saying "the miscommunication of the objective of their marriage" was the only reason for their separation.
