Carrie Underwood has a habit of fending-off female friendships, because she finds males "less threatening" than women.
The singer has weathered a series of highly-publicised breakups, including ruined romances with American football star Tony Romo and
Gossip Girl actor Chace Crawford. But despite being unlucky in love, Carrie remains convinced women are even more difficult to trust. She says, "I like the things they (men) like. I'm girlie in the sense that I like makeup, but I also love sports and man food. With guys, there's no competition. Being around them just isn't as threatening."
